Lancashire UCU is one of three recognised trades unions at the University of Lancashire. We represent academic staff: lecturers, researchers, and people in other academic roles. If you are not already a member, you can JOIN UCU here.
Colleagues in support services (administrative, technical, professional and manual roles) are represented by our sister unions UNISON and UNITE.

UCU has a standing agreement with UCLan management that classes and/or meetings will not be scheduled at the same time as Branch Meetings. If you encounter any problems getting time to attend the meetings, please let us know.
Open Member Meetings
Informal, no-agenda meetings for members to bring any concerns or ideas to the Branch Committee. These will be hybrid meetings, either in person (venue tbc) or via MS Teams, at 1.00-2.00pm on 10 September 2025, 26 November 2025, 4 March 2026 & 27 May 2026.
